Greece: "Watchdog slams "endemic" corruption"

"The anti-graft watchdog Transparency International says corruption in Greece remains widespread and poses a serious threat to the country's hopes of financial recovery, as daily Athens News writes. In a report released on Wednesday, the Greek branch of the organisation said little improvement has been made despite plans to reform the country's public sector. "Greek people live in a state of 'corrupt legality' meaning that the law often condones or even fosters corrupt practices," it said."
