''Fukushima nuclear crisis and the legacy of the Amakudari system''

revolving door crisis...we have that too.......from modern tokyo times...
"The ongoing crisis within the nuclear sector in Japan can be pinned on the relationship between the political bureaucracy and its love-in relationship with electricity suppliers.  After all, it is clear that this system failed the nuclear sector in many areas and the consequences are still being felt today in Fukushima and in other parts of Japan. Therefore, a fresh start is needed in order to end this negative political system which isn’t helping the people of this nation.
The amakudari system enables senior bureaucrats to find important executive posts after leaving the government and it is reported that 68 high ranking bureaucrats went on and resumed senior positions with the energy sector. Therefore, given the relationship between government and electricity suppliers, it appears that this all inclusive policy means that when serious issues arise, then it may be pushed under the carpet?"
