''War-weary Iraq on Monday saw a wave of terror attacks raging across the country as nearly 30 incidents were reported and the casualties hit 145 dead and 379 injured, according to the statistics by international security group G4S.
Local analysts branded the al-Qaida dominated surge as a spill- over effect from the ongoing crisis in the neighboring country Syria.
Iraqi government leaders including Prime Minister Nuri al- Maliki on several occasions reiterated Iraq's concern that the violence and sectarian conflict that plagued Syria might spill over into the neighboring countries including Iraq.''
