"Twenty-four people have been killed across Syria as the UN Security Council showed signs of inching towards condemning the violence being unleashed by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 10 people died in the central city of Hama on the first day of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.
A further six were reported to have been killed in the eastern Damascus suburb of Arbeen early on Tuesday, three in the central province of Homs, two in the eastern border town of al-Boukamal, two in the coastal city of Latakia and one in Maadamiyah near Damascus"............READ MORE
