"African governments have embraced neo-liberal exploitation without the direct involvement of the international financial institutions' such as the IMF and the World Bank. In this way, leaders in societies such as India and the majority of African states will continue to serve the interests of global capitalism. Globalization gave unprecedented mobility for the lords of finance so they were not worried about national boundaries. What was most important was that 'development' serves the interest of the one per cent. This would include reproducing one per centers in the BRICS societies."
