KDP Spokesman: We Will Do our Best to Remove Maliki

From RUDAW

"In an interview with Rudaw, Jaafar Ibrahim, spokesman and member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) political bureau, discusses his party’s relations with Iran, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and his party’s stance on removing Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki from office.

Rudaw: Regarding the issue of withdrawing confidence from the current Iraqi government, you were in disagreement with the PUK. What was this disagreement about?

Jaafar Ibrahim: There is a crisis in Iraq. We both want to find a solution to this crisis. This means we have a coherent view on the current Iraqi political process; we have both spoken up about the crisis. However, in finding solutions, we had different opinions, which is normal. But there is no doubt that external factors or parties had a hand in that too.''
