''Tremors reported at giant Louisiana sinkhole''

From KSLA

''The giant sinkhole appeared in August near the Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou areas.

The Assumption Parish Police Jury says the tremor was large enough that the body wave phases could easily be identified. A body wave travels through the interior of the earth.

The preliminary location of the tremor was just SE of Oxy #3 cavern at a depth of 500m.  There is no additional information specific to this seismic activity at this time.

The sinkhole is now about four acres in size.''

From sincedutch...............''Please .. Get this out to the people of Louisiana ~~ The thermal power of 1.5 Million barrels of liquid butane is = approx 100 Hiroshima's (computations on my blog linked below)

Bayou Corne Louisiana has experienced a series of events which 'professionals' are having a hard time explaining --- or at least the pros are finding it to be an inconvenient time to offer an explanation as to what is going on.

Its a long story, but crucial for everyone to understand !''

''Experts fear that 400,000 people may die if quake strikes Nankai Trough at night''

From Japan Daily Press

''According to Wikipedia, the Nankai Trough is the near-surface extension of a zone of active seismicity that dips beneath South West Japan. It is located in waters off the Tokai region in central Japan to the Shikoku region in the west. According to the experts, should an earthquake occur in this region at night, as many as 400,000 people may die in one big swipe-out.''

''This World Map Of Earthquakes Is As Terrifying As It Is Beautiful''

From Gizmodo

''As expected, there’s plenty going on along the edges of the tectonic plates and as such, are the most brightly coloured. In Australia, only a few glowing green blobs are visible — mostly, we’re just peppered with soft blue speckles — events of minor note. Japan is entirely obscured by a densely-packed spray of lime and cyan while NZ is cut in half by line of lights just as vibrant.''

''The April 11, 2012 Event: cluster of large earthquakes rattle the globe from Indonesia to Mexico''

From Extinction Protocol
April 12, 2012 – WORLD – "A strong earthquake hit Mexico on Wednesday, shaking buildings and sending people running out of offices onto the streets of the capital Mexico City. The U.S. Geological Survey said the 6.5 -magnitude quake was centered on Mexico’s Pacific coast near Michoacan and struck fairly deep under the earth at 65 km or 40 miles. Prior to the Mexico earthquake, a powerful and shallow 5.9 struck near the Juan de Fuca tectonic plate off the coast of Oregon- indicating tectonic plates worldwide are being rattled by planetary seismic tension. Prior to Oregon earthquake, two massive 8.0+ magnitude earthquakes (8.6 and 8.2) struck the ocean floor off the north coast of Sumatra, Indonesia."

''Fracking Linked to Earthquakes in Ohio; Wells Indefinitely Shut Down''

read more from firedoglake...

"Ohio doesn’t have as much history with earthquakes, though there are faults in the region. The frequency of the quakes is definitely unusual; there have been 11 in the past eight months within two miles of the wells. And the correlation between increased oil and gas exploration and increased seismic activity is becoming more widespread. It’s not that fracking releases so much energy underground into the faults, it’s that they place just enough pressure to trigger stronger quakes than we would otherwise see. Plus, scientists and not just state officials in Ohio participated in the shutdown of the fracking wells, seeking more information."

''Japan Quake Lifted Seabed 16 Stories—Largest Recorded''

from natgeo.....

"Japan's devastating March 11 earthquake shifted the seabed by as much as 165 feet (50 meters)—the largest slip yet recorded, a new study says.
That's considerably larger than in previous reports, which in May put the shift at 79 feet (24 meters).
This giant movement probably caused the massive tsunami that killed more than 15,000 people and crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant (pictures).
For the study, Toshiya Fujiwara and colleagues at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology compared seabed maps made in 1999 and 2004 to those made only days after the March quake".........READ MORE

"Cost of disaster: $50 billion and higher insurance rates"

from communities.canada.com....

"It's a disaster - insurance rates are going up. Lloyd's of London says the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the earthquake in New Zealand and flooding in Australia has led to almost $4 billion US in insurance claims and that has insurance rates going up. In a story in the Guardian (read the story here),

Lloyd's said its insurers, Munich Re and Hiscox has already warned of "hefty price rises."

Lloyd's estimates the Japanese earthquake and tsunami led to claims of $1.95 billion US, while the New Zealand earthquake cost its members $1.2 billion and the Australian floods $650 million.

Add to that damage from tornadoes ravaging the United States in April and the total loss to the industry could top $50 billion US"...........LINK
